Belinda Harrison grew up in Monroe, Georgia. She graduated from George Walton Academy. After obtaining her Batchelor of Science Degree in Business Education in 1981 from the University of Georgia, she taught Adult Education Classes until she began her legal career in 1982 as a legal secretary with the Law Office of C. Randall Roberts in Monroe, Georgia. In 1988 she relocated to Forsyth County to the former home of her grandparents and was employed by the Law Office of Donald J. Snell in Canton. During her full time employment with the Law Office of Donald J. Snell, she received her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Kennesaw State College in December of 1994. She continued her career with the Law Office of Donald J. Snell until the firm closed in March 2000. From March to July 2000, she was a paralegal with the Law Office of Daniel Mason in Canton. She has proudly been a paralegal for Thompson, Meier & King, P.C. since August of 2000.
Her legal career has led her to gain many years of experience in several areas of the law, i.e. as real estate law, including completing title examinations, the preparation and completion of residential and commercial real estate closings; estate planning, probate, corporate law, real estate law, family law, and juvenile law.
Belinda is a member of the Ellijay Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she has taught several of the children’s Sabbath School classes and assisted with vacation bible school. She is a supporter of the March of Dimes and the Special Olympics. Belinda is also a member the Appalachian Chapter of the International Administrative Association of Administrative Professionals in Jasper, Georgia. In her free time, Belinda enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew; walking, swimming, reading, watching classic movies, and cross-stitching.
