WILLIAM E. CARLAN
|
William is a native of CherokeeCounty. He had the privilege of attending Canton Elementary School, Marie Archer Teasley Middle School, and Cherokee High School.
William received the degree of Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, with honors, from Young Harris Junior College. At Young Harris, William was a member of the Sigma Beta Service Fraternity. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honors, at the University of Georgia in 2006. During college, William worked as an intern for United States Senator Zell Miller in Washington, D.C. While on the hill, William assisted the Senator’s staff in drafting financial appropriation legislation.
In 2009, William received his Juris Doctorate from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. After graduation from Law School, William moved home to Cherokee County and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in the fall of 2009. William began working for the firm in the summer of 2006, continued through law school, and became an associate attorney with the firm in 2009.
William is an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 241 in Canton, Georgia. He has the rare distinction of completing every rank scouting offers - from Tiger Cub to Eagle Scout. William currently volunteers with Boy Scout Troop 241.

William also enjoys bicycling, taking photographs, and traveling with his wife. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton. William has the honor of having four of his poems chosen for publication in regional reviews. He is also an avid sports fan, following both domestic sports, such as football and baseball, and international sports, including soccer, rugby, and cricket. William’s favorite teams include the Atlanta Braves, the University of Georgia Bulldogs, the Chelsea Football Club, and the Cherokee High School Warriors.
